8月28日, 2023 — Marist this fall welcomes students from around the country 和 the world with one of the largest 和 most diverse incoming classes in its history. More than 1,300 first-year students have begun their journey as Red Foxes.

A majority (56%) of the Class of 2027 comes from outside New York state, hailing from states in the West (Washington, 俄勒冈州, 夏威夷, 加州, 和亚利桑那州), the Midwest (Illinois, 俄亥俄州, 密歇根, 明尼苏达州, 和威斯康辛州), 南部(德克萨斯州), 田纳西州, 乔治亚州, 佛罗里达, 以及卡罗来纳州), throughout the Northeast (Vermont, 新汉普郡, 和缅因州), 和 many other states. More than one-quarter of the first-year class identify as students of color, making it one of the most ethnically 和 racially diverse first-year classes in the history of the College.

On the international front, the new class features students from more than two dozen countries, including ones in North 和 South America, 欧洲, 非洲, 亚洲, 和澳大利亚. 

There are 12 National 科学 Foundation Scholars (NSF) in the class. Marist was awarded a grant from the foundation last year to support high-achieving students in STEM majors. There are also four new Gilder Lehrman Institute scholars, exceptional students who received academic awards to study history.

Of the Class of 2027, 64 students began their full-year abroad First-Year Florence Experience (FFE) 和 First-Year Dublin Experience (FDE) programs, 和 a record number enrolled at bet亚洲365欢迎投注的 Florence, Italy campus seeking a four-year bachelor’s degree. Marist is one of only a few colleges or universities to offer full year abroad programs for first-year students.
